‘In the Philippine rainforest of 1983, a teenage-Filipina deals with a spirit to escape destitution for life overseas. Today, she and her pregnant British-Filipina daughter sever the root of their familial trauma as they confront the consequences of the twisted deal.’ A short film version of ‘Root’ (titled ‘Brides’) was shortlisted in the top 5% of the Film4 and BFI fund ‘Future Takes’, and has since been developed into a feature screenplay. ‘A rebellious Filipino carnival worker is rendered powerless after a life-threatening seizure leads to his indefinite detainment at an immigration removal centre.’ A feature film that follows a day-in-the-life of the lead character from the short film ‘Alo’. Supported by the BFI NETWORK’s Early Development Fund and co-written by Xenia Glen and Antosh Wojcik.

How to Keep Time

This whimsical, surreal narrative follows a young man’s attempts to retrieve the memories and dreams of his Polish grandfather who is struggling through the final stages of vascular dementia. A feature adaptation of the Arts Council England funded theatre piece, ‘How To Keep Time: A Drum Solo For Dementia’, written by Antosh Wojcik.
